Vacation Mode

I have lost track of what day it is and I think that means my mind has switched into vacation mode. Definitely a good thing.

Day 3 - Rain, Rain Made Us Stay

I got no cool pictures today because my phone is not waterproof and it rained. Therefore, we went to the water park. Typhoon Lagoon had less than two dozen patrons. We did almost every slide, ride, wave and coaster in about three hours. It was so nice compared with being in the crowds. We also did take the boat to Downtown Disney. We wandered, people watched and had a fantastic dinner at Louis Fulton's Crab House.
It was marvelous to say the least. The sun set over Downtown Disney while we ate and enjoyed a leisurely boat ride back to the resort.

Day 2 - First Day in the Parks

Even though we went to bed rather late last night. I still managed to wake up only half an hour later than I typically do. It was an agonizing 90 minutes until the next person woke up. It was so hard to wait.

We had a leisurely breakfast at our resort and jumped on the bus to Hollywood Studios. We rode the Aerosmith Roller Coaster and the Tower of Terror. Had a fun early dinner at the Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre. Then we saw cute skits in the street and attended the American Idol Experience. Watching my children hoot, holler and dance was the highlight of the day. I got a great moment in the restaurant too when the waiter made my husband and I kiss while he took funny pictures of us.

Day One - The Journey to Disney

Have I mentioned that my children have never been on a plane before? Yesterday was their first time. I am not sure it was wise to take three first timers at the same time. It really could have been crazy. Instead it was just fun.

My youngest fist pumped his hands and shouted with glee, "We're flying!"
It was an awesome moment for him and for me.

When we were on the bus the resort he talked to me a mile a minute about all the transportation options we had sampled. He told me his journal for school was going to list them all. Car, plane, subway, bus. It was an exciting day.
